Liisa has a MSc in Technology in Biomaterials engineering. She also did postgraduate studies in Biomedical engineering from Tampere University, while working as a researcher in Prof. Katriina Aalto-Setälä’s group. Liisa has studied the effects of different biomaterials, mechanical stimulation and vascular-like network to iPSC-derived cardiomyocyte growth, survival and functionality.

At StemSight, Liisa does cell culture, in vitro analysis, R&D laboratory work and quality control analysis.

In her free time, Liisa loves to play floorball and do handicrafts, eg. knitting.
