Laboratory assistant

Liisa has a Master of Science in Technology in Biomaterials engineering. She has also postgraduate studies in Biomedical engineering from Tampere University, while working as a researcher in Prof. Katriina Aalto-Setälä’s group. Liisa studied the effects of different biomaterials, mechanical stimulation and vascular-like network to cardiomyocyte growth, survival and functionality. 

At StemSight, Liisa is doing cell culture work, in vitro analysis, R&D laboratory work and quality control analysis. 

On her free time, Liisa loves to play floorball and do handicrafts, eg. knitting.
