Dr Macdonald has over 34 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses. Dr Macdonald has over 34 years’ experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology businesses. Most recently he was the CEO of Cynata Therapeutics Ltd, a cell therapy company that is pioneering the therapeutic use of iPSC-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).  His career history includes senior management positions with a range of pharmaceutical and biopharma companies in Europe, the USA and Australia, primarily focused on business development, corporate strategy and R&D management.  Dr Macdonald currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee of UniSeed Management Pty Ltd, an Australian venture capital company, a member of the commercialisation committee of the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health and as a non-executive director of Trioda Wilingi Pty Ltd.
